Top-20 Credit Union Now Offers 2 Image-Enabled Products From CO-OP Financial Services - CO-OP ATM Check Imaging And CO-OP My Deposit

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – Star One Credit Union, a top-20 credit union based in the heart of Northern California's Silicon Valley, has begun offering CO-OP Financial Services' "CO-OP My Deposit" product for use at home. Star One, a CO-OP member since 1997, is actually now utilizing a pair of CO-OP's check imaging-enabled products -- at home and the ATM. Additionally, according to Star One Vice President Margarete Mucker, the $3.7 billion (in assets) organization with 77,000 members across the world has also opted to use CO-OP for its ATM driving.

"As the Silicon Valley's largest member-owned financial institution, Star One has been built on a foundation of strength and stability," says Mucker, whose home branch is based in Sunnyvale, Calif. "CO-OP, with its proven technology and unrivaled record within the credit union industry, provides us with a stable source for many of our long-term financial solutions.

"We started solely as a PIN-based client with CO-OP, and recently have added ATM driving and the image enabled products. It simply makes sense to have all of these delivery channels handled by CO-OP."

CO-OP, which provides over 40 financial products and services to a membership of 25,000 credit unions nationwide, is the first credit union ATM processor to address Check 21 legislation by offering envelope-free deposits that capture, process and clear digital check images. CO-OP ATM Check Imaging, CO-OP Fast Branch (kiosks) and CO-OP My Deposit are the current offerings, with retail and branch check imaging products set to debut later this year.

"Star One is the leading credit union in the world's high-tech hub, so we're proud that they're among the first financial institutions to offer a collection of our breakthrough check imaging products," says CO-OP President/CEO Stan Hollen.
